3D Printer Competition

We are very pleased to announce brand-new competition for Leicester City Schools.

Severn Trent and Leicester City Council have launched a design competition for all schools in Leicester for the chance to win a 3D Printer. To highlight the importance of water, we’re asking you to design a water saving device or an object that helps prevent marine pollution.

Whatever it Take to take climate action - poetry competition

Inspired by the brilliant poems in the collection ‘Be the Change’ and the ideas of poets Matt Goodfellow, Liz Brownlee and Roger Stevens, the team at Whatever it Takes has joined forces with Environmental Education Leicester and would like to invite you to enter our amazing poetry competition.

Water Fountain design competition 

We are very pleased to announce the winners of our Water Fountain design competition. The overall winner was Sonya at Bridge Junior School. The design will appear on all water fountains and Bridge Junior School will have a display board in the bus station showing their environmental credentials.

7 runner designs will have a display board next to a water fountain with information about their environmental work. These were from students from Shaftesbury Junior School, Knighton Mead Primary, Mowmacre Hill Primary, Buswells Lodge Primary, Dovelands Primary, Sandfield Close Primary and Parks Primary School, congratulations! 


Earth Day 2020 - Poetry Competition Winners

We had some great entries for the Earth Day 2020 poetry competition on the theme of climate action. They were so good in fact we found it hard to choose the winners so we have three! They are:

  • Dear 2055 by Florrie, aged 11 from Dovelands Primary.
  • Climate Change by Aymen from Mayflower Primary
  • Climate Change by Zaynah, aged 9 from Whitehall Primary

Thank you to all entrants. We really enjoyed reading them.
