Our School, Our World
Our School, Our World is a project new to Leicester for 2024-2025, supporting primary schools to further their work on sustainability and climate change by providing bespoke training, resources, and support. This approach differs from other sustainability projects as it ensures that it becomes a whole school agenda as is initiated by the headteacher and governors alongside a senior leader programme.

The aim of Our School, Our World: To use the power of education to advance environmental literacy and social engagement to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future. We will work with young people, educators, community organisations, the council and relevant partners to promote a just and sustainable city where environmental and social responsibility drive individual, institutional, and community choices.
Thanks to funding from Let’s Go Zero, Leicester City Council will be working in partnership with Brighton and Hove City Council on a transformative whole authority approach to sustainability and climate change in schools.
We are offering 20 schools the opportunity to be involved with this pioneering work, named “Our School, Our World”. Alongside access to bespoke training, resources and support, schools will benefit from a robust framework co-developed by schools. This approach differs from other sustainability projects in it ensures sustainability becomes a whole school agenda and is led by the headteacher and governors alongside a senior programme lead.
There will be the option of any one of the webinars below. These are for headteachers, senior leaders and governors interested in finding out more about the programme, support and commitments required.
