SEND services referral

Please use this form to request specialist advice and support for a child or young person within your school.

  • educational psychology
  • hearing support team
  • vision support team
  • learning, communication and interaction team
  • social, emotional and mental health team

Register for a 'My Leicester account'

Please note in order to make a referral you will first need to register for a 'My Leicester account'.

Complete a SEND services referral

Once you have your ’My Leicester Account’ set up, please access the referral form on the following link:

You will need to enter your login details and then you will be taken directly to the form.

What happens after I make a referral

On completion of your form you receive an automatic acknowledgment that your referral has been received by Leicester city SEND services.

This information will be considered at a fortnightly referral meeting held by SEND services team leaders during term time only. You will receive a response within 10 working days of this meeting, indicating either the referral has been accepted and the action to be undertaken by SEND services or that the referral has not been accepted - and the reasons for this with alternative suggestions for support/action, where relevant.

You will need to log back into your 'My Leicester account' to view the outcome. Once logged in please select 'my requests' found in the menu bar on the top left.

Resetting your password

If you have already registers for a 'My Leicester account' but have forgotten your password, you can request a password reset.

Please check your junk / trash folder if your password reset email doesn't arrive.
