Key Stage Data CollectionsWe will be collecting statutory key stage data during the summer of 2026. An A3 calendar is available on this page showing key dates. The Key stage data return opens from Wednesday 3 June 2026 and must be finalised before the DfE deadlines for 2026. Key stage 1 data is no longer statutory and is no longer required by the DfE. As schools have previously expressed a preference not to submit KS1 data, it will not be collected by the Schools’ Data team during the 2026 key stage data collection.

At a time when schools increasingly work with and rely on digital and web based materials, understanding how copyright works, and making the most of all available resources, is essential for staff and schools. Creating Open Educational Resources allows schools connect and collaborate with others through sharing work. Sharing can also help promote the great work school staff and schools are doing.
