RISE e-learning course on sensory processing

This e-learning introduces sensory processing: what it is and why it matters and is intended to be used by a wide variety of practitioners especially those working directly with Disabled Children and Young People and those with Special Educational Needs.

Disabled children's service training programme

The courses are open to both those who work with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and those that would like to provide a service but don’t currently. School Staff are welcome to attend the opportunities available if they offer after school club of holiday activity opportunities for children that live in the Leicester City area.

Support available for schools, settings and families

SEND Services including the City Psychology Service, the Disabled Children’s Service and Special Education Services are available to provide support for schools, settings and children, young people and families during the period of school/settings limited opening.

Action research and lesson study project

The University of Derby is leading on a DfE-funded Action Research and Lesson Study Project, a CPD opportunity focusing on inclusion and SEND.

Teen parent support mapping

Leicester City Council is mapping the offer available to teenage mothers and young fathers to help us review current support available for young parents under a new Public Health England framework.
