Young voices / young researchers project with secondary schoolsThe University of Derby is working with two young researchers with disabilities to investigate the support for young people with special educational needs and disabilities in Leicester City. Participating young people don’t have to have an EHCP and the research team are particularly interested in hearing from pupils in Year 8, 9 and 10.

Leicester Hospital Charity with support from the Midlands Asthma and Allergy Research Association (MAARA) are funding the spare Adrenaline Pens in school and Salbutamol inhaler across the whole region (schools within Leicester and Leicestershire) from January 2025.

Pupils can have a hands on experience with over 100 animals for them to meet and feed. As well as self-led tours we offer several activity based visits designed to link with the national curriculum. We can also tailor a visit to your needs and provide facilities and materials for any other aspect of the National Curriculum, for either a full or half-day visit.
