Healthy Start is the UK government food welfare scheme for women who are 10 weeks pregnant and children under the age of 4 who have low income and are in receipt of certain benefits. Pregnant teenagers are automatically eligible for the scheme. With Healthy Start, eligible families get free vouchers every week to spend on fresh and frozen fruit and veg, plain cows milk and infant formula milk.
