A profoundly simple but effective initiative, which any school can implement completely free of charge without the need for staff training. Its impact can be transformational – improving not only the children’s fitness, but also their concentration levels, mood, behaviour and general wellbeing.

eBikes for schools

In 2021, we promoted an active travel project for all schools. The scheme was aimed at getting school staff out of their cars and trying out an eBike.

RCE-East Midlands conference 2018

In early March 2018 Leicester City Council hosted a regional conference entitled ‘Creating Young Leaders in Sustainable Development’. This conference enabled practitioners to support learners to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development (Global Goal 4.7).

Saving the Saffron Brook

This is a river restoration programme which aims to transform the Saffron Brook/Wash Brook Catchment. This will be done by restoring the river, recreating, and conserving habitats and creating footpaths along the river. For this project there will be a big focus on engaging the local community and connecting residents and school children with nature.

Delivery of health care provision in schools (From 8 March)

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) are recovering services to support the children and young people (CYP) of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR) to access healthcare support when they return to school.
