Making alterations to your school

Estates and Building Services will shortly publish on the school’s extranet, a new document to provide guidance for maintaining and improving your school building.

The purpose of this is to bring clarity and consistency to the property management of schools and is the first of a suite of documents that we will be releasing this year. It includes details of our landlord consent process which is a requirement for all alteration and improvement works.

These procedural improvements will provide assurance to both all parties of the safety of our schools and the ongoing compliance to relevant statutory property requirements. It enables the LA to be in a better position to assist and advise on your project/s and ensure that all parties have a successful outcome.

We will let schools know when this goes live via the e-Bulletin.
