Private fostering arrangementsGiven the indistinct nature of many private fostering arrangements, we, as a local authority, periodically must remind professionals to notify Children’s Social Care department where they become aware of such an arrangement. Professionals, for example GPs surgeries and schools, have a duty to report to the local authority where they are aware or suspect that a child is subject to a private fostering arrangement.
