Our Eco-Schools conferences and celebration events are an opportunity for Leicester schools to network with each other and learn about new and exciting projects. Information about previous events can be found below.

Eco-Schools Celebration 2019

Our annual Eco-Schools & Food for Life Celebration will take place on Friday 14 June 2019 at De Montfort University, Leicester.

Celebrate the work that your school has completed this year by attending the now annual Eco-Schools and Food for Life Celebration. Bring along up to 5 students to display your Eco-Schools and/or your Food for Life project. Receive your Food for Life award as well as the Healthier Air for Schools Award.

Our 2018 Eco-Schools & Food for Life Celebration took place on Tuesday 12 June 2018 at City Hall, Leicester. 

We celebrated the work that our schools completed this year by celebrating at our Eco-Schools and Food for Life Celebration. Schools also received their Food for Life award as well as the Healthier Air for Schools Award.

Previous Eco-Schools conferences and roadshows

Our 2015 Eco-Schools conferences took place in December 2015 at the National Space Centre, Leicester. Fifteen primary schools and 7 secondary schools attended the event where they participated in workshops and had the opportunity to Skype with colleagues at the Paris Climate Change Conference.

Our first Eco-Schools conferences took place in March 2015 at the Queen's Building, De Montfort University, Leicester. The event was attended by 18 primary and 4 secondary schools. A number of our workshops focussed on food growing and healthy living and our event was kindly sponsored by Leicester's Food Plan. Our 2017 celebration took place at the Attenborough Hall, Leicester City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester, LE1 1FZ.
