Competitions 2020

Water Fountain design competition

We are very pleased to announce brand-new competition for Leicester City Schools. We are asking students from all schools of primary and secondary age to design the backplate which will appear on water fountains that will be installed in Leicester City Centre later this year. Alongside each water fountain will be a display board which will highlight the winning design and shortlisted winners’ schools Eco-School credentials.

To enter, students need to design the backplate bottle design. Download the entry form and submit by either scanning or photographing the entry.

Schools can enter themselves as well as parents of children who are not in school.

Deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 3 July 2020.

Earth Day 2020 - Poetry Competition Winners

We had some great entries for the Earth Day 2020 poetry competition on the theme of climate action. They were so good in fact we found it hard to choose the winners so we have three! They are:

  • Dear 2055 by Florrie, aged 11 from Dovelands Primary.
  • Climate Change by Aymen from Mayflower Primary
  • Climate Change by Zaynah, aged 9 from Whitehall Primary

Thank you to all entrants. We really enjoyed reading them.
